anorexia recovery, bulimia recovery, eating disorders

I’ve always been drawn to Kristin’s music - from the mid to late 80s when Throwing Muses were active until the mid-to-late 90s when the band broke up because they couldn’t afford to be a band any longer until she formed 50 foot wave and released a number of solo albums and now the CASH Music project (check it out here), there’s something so striking and startling to me about the way that she writes and performs that I’ll never figure out.

The truth of the matter is that I don’t want to figure it out. I just want her songs to continue to speak to me.

Like this one: In Shock

and this, Colder, an old Throwing Muses song that’s part of the album that made me sure that I would always love some writing and playing and that now makes me wish I took out my guitar a lot more often.
